IRVING, Texas - A 46-year-old Garland man was found dead inside a vehicle in the parking lot of an Irving grocery store on Labor Day, according to Irving police and Dallas County medical examiner records.
Irving police dispatch received a call around 4 p.m. Sept. 7 about an apparently unconscious person inside a vehicle in the 1100 block of West Airport Freeway.
Officers located the vehicle in the parking lot of the Fiesta grocery store near State Highway 183 and North MacArthur Boulevard. Irving Fire Department personnel and emergency medical crews also responded as a group of onlookers gathered nearby.
The man inside the vehicle was pronounced dead. His official time of death was recorded as 3:53 p.m.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as Patrick England Brown, 46. His last known residence was in Garland, but he was originally from California.
Medical examiner records indicate Brown received an external examination rather than a full autopsy. An official cause and manner of death have not been released, but foul play is not suspected.
