RICHLAND HILLS, Texas - A wanted suspect was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon after a SWAT team assisted Richland Hills police in serving multiple felony arrest warrants at a residence.
At approximately 1:45 p.m. on August 26, 2026, the Richland Hills Police Department, with assistance from the Haltom City and North Richland Hills police departments, served the warrants in the 2800 block of Elm Park Drive.
Police said the Haltom City/Richland Hills Joint SWAT Team was called in to assist because of the nature of the warrants and the wanted suspect's history.
The suspect, who police said was the sole person being sought in the operation, was taken into custody without incident. No officers or other individuals were injured.
One resident of the home was evaluated by paramedics as a precaution, according to police.
Officers remained in the neighborhood following the arrest, but authorities said there were no road closures and no threat to the public. Residents in the immediate area had been temporarily diverted while officers carried out the warrant service.
The suspect was transported to the North Richland Hills Joint Detention Center. Police said his identity would not be released until after he is arraigned by a magistrate.
Richland Hills police thanked the Haltom City and North Richland Hills police departments for assisting with the operation and thanked nearby residents for their patience during the law enforcement activity.
