LEWISVILLE, Texas - A Lewisville man already facing multiple capital murder prosecutions has been returned to custody after Denton County deputies arrested him on a bench warrant, along with a parole violation and an additional capital murder hold from Tarrant County.
Silvester Terrance Williams, 32, was arrested on outstanding warrants stemming from separate homicide cases in Denton and Tarrant counties.
According to court records, Williams was originally arrested on April 4, 2023, in connection with the March 23, 2023, fatal shootings of 29-year-old Breanna Christine Dunn and 43-year-old Ronald Lee Calvert Jr. at an apartment complex in the 1300 block of Dallas Drive in Denton. He was released on April 29, 2025, before being taken back into custody this week.
Denton County's 362nd District Court issued a bench warrant requiring Williams to appear for formal court proceedings after he was indicted on a charge of Capital Murder of Multiple Persons.
Williams is also being held on a Tarrant County capital murder charge in the Feb. 26, 2023, fatal shooting of 20-year-old Jakavious Cortez Meeks in the parking lot of a shopping center on Ridgmar Meadow Road in Fort Worth.
Authorities also lodged a parole violation warrant through the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles after determining Williams allegedly committed both 2023 homicide offenses while on active state parole. The parole violation, commonly referred to as a "blue warrant," makes him ineligible for bond.
The Denton double homicide investigation revealed Dunn and Calvert were found shot to death inside a vehicle parked at an apartment complex. Calvert was found in the driver's seat, while Dunn was in the front passenger seat.
Investigators alleged Calvert had traveled to Denton to sell marijuana to Williams. A search of the victims' vehicle uncovered Williams' cellphone in the back seat, along with two spent 9mm shell casings.
According to court documents, Williams sent Calvert a text message at 9:11 p.m. directing him to the apartment complex at "1300 Dallas Drive."
Surveillance footage later captured two men walking through the parking lot shortly before the victims were killed. Witnesses told police they saw two men flee the scene in a white Toyota Corolla belonging to Williams' girlfriend.
Hours later, Williams called Mesquite police to report he had been robbed and shot in the face during an alleged carjacking. He claimed an acquaintance known as "J Dog" shot him and stole the Corolla.
Investigators later recovered the Corolla abandoned in Fort Worth, less than a mile from the residence of Benjamin Paul Teal.
Police connected Williams and Teal through cellphone records, surveillance footage and forensic evidence. Ballistics testing determined shell casings recovered from the Denton crime scene and the Mesquite shooting were fired from the same handgun later recovered from Teal.
DNA evidence also linked Teal to the victims' vehicle.
In 2024, Teal was convicted and sentenced to life in prison for his role in the murders. His conviction was later upheld on appeal.
Williams remains jailed while awaiting trial on the Denton and Tarrant County capital murder charges, as well as proceedings related to the parole violation.
