IRVING, Texas - A Dallas woman was arrested after allegedly damaging a vehicle with a hammer and assaulting a woman during a confrontation at an Irving apartment complex, police said.

At approximately 9:11 p.m. on May 28, 2026, Irving police officers responded to a disturbance call at the Villa Valencia Townhome Apartments in the 300 block of Rolston Drive in South Irving.

According to investigators, a 27-year-old woman reported that an acquaintance, identified as 31-year-old Denise Renee Rosas, arrived at the location carrying a hammer.

Police said Rosas allegedly used the hammer to break the driver's side window of the victim's vehicle, causing an estimated $450 in damage.

The victim told officers she exited her residence and confronted Rosas about the damage.

Investigators said Rosas continued holding the hammer during the assault and swung it at the victim, narrowly missing her.

Officers arrived and found Rosas still at the scene. She was taken into custody without incident.

Police did not disclose what led to the confrontation or why Rosas was so upset with the victim.

Rosas was booked into the Irving Jail and charged with:
