IRVING, Texas - An Irving man was arrested after allegedly threatening two neighbors with what appeared to be a handgun during an early morning disturbance at an apartment complex, according to police.
Officers were dispatched at approximately 3:11 a.m. on May 30, 2026, to the Grauwyler Heights Apartments in the 1900 block of East Grauwyler Road following reports of a disturbance.
According to investigators, two male victims told officers that 26-year-old Heyder Cosigua appeared to be highly intoxicated when he came outside his apartment and began confronting residents.
The victims reported that Cosigua attempted to start a fight with one of the men and got in his face during the confrontation. One of the victims pushed Cosigua away, prompting him to return to his apartment.
Witnesses told police that Cosigua then came back outside carrying what appeared to be a metallic gunmetal-colored pistol and pointed it at both men.
The victims said they attempted to calm Cosigua down before he eventually left the area.
Fearing for their safety, the men contacted 911 and reported that they believed Cosigua was dangerous.
Responding officers located Cosigua inside his apartment and took him into custody without incident.
During a consent search of the apartment, officers discovered a dark-colored revolver-style BB/pellet gun near the entrance of the residence. Investigators believe the BB gun was the weapon displayed during the incident.
Although the weapon was later determined to be a BB/pellet gun, police said the victims believed it was a real firearm at the time it was pointed at them.
Cosigua was booked into the Irving Jail and charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. On May 30th, he was transferred to the Dallas County Jail where ICE requested a hold and charged him as an Illegal Alien. According to court records in Dallas County, Cosigua also has conviction for DUI.
