IRVING, Texas - An Irving woman was arrested after police say she threatened a man with a rock and damaged his vehicle during an incident in the Barton Estates neighborhood.
According to the Irving Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 1:07 p.m. on May 30 to the 900 block of Bunn Drive in reference to a disturbance.
When officers arrived, they detained 32-year-old Karen Beatriz Solorzano, who matched the description provided by the caller. Officers also made contact with a 45-year-old male victim at a nearby residence.
The victim told officers he observed Solorzano striking the rear windows of his vehicle with a rock measuring approximately four to five inches in size, causing visible damage.
According to the victim, he attempted to verbally de-escalate the situation, but Solorzano turned toward him while holding the rock near her face and began yelling aggressively.
The victim reported that Solorzano approached to within approximately five to six feet and made repeated forward jerking motions with the rock in her hand. He told officers he believed she intended to strike him and feared for his safety, prompting him to flee the area on foot before calling 911.
Police said Solorzano remained silent throughout the investigation.
According to officers, it was apparent that Solorzano appeared to be experiencing a mental health episode at the time of the incident.
Solorzano was arrested and booked into the Irving Jail on charges of:

- Criminal Mischief
Her bond was set at $11,500.
