IRVING, Texas - An Irving police officer arrested a motorist Thursday morning after observing multiple traffic violations and signs of impairment during a traffic stop.
According to the Irving Police Department, the officer stopped a vehicle on May 28 after witnessing several traffic offenses.
During the stop, the driver, 26-year-old Cesar Alexis Garibaldi-Soni, allegedly displayed clear signs of intoxication or drug impairment.
Police said field testing was conducted, and a subsequent blood sample confirmed impairment.
Following the establishment of probable cause, officers searched the vehicle and reportedly discovered illegal drugs and a handgun.
Garibaldi-Soni was arrested and booked into the Irving Jail at approximately 6:35 a.m.
He is charged with:
- DWI, Second Offense
- Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1/1-B (Methamphetamine)
- Possession of Marijuana, More Than 4 Ounces and Less Than 5 Pounds
- Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon
The case remains pending through the court system.
