Man Arrested at Valley Ranch Apartment Complex for Threats and Theft Against Ex-Girlfriend

Scottland Torrion Johnson

IRVING, Texas — An Irving man was arrested Monday afternoon following a reported domestic disturbance at an apartment complex in Valley Ranch, according to police.

Officers responded around 2:35 p.m. on April 13, 2026, to the Winstead at Valley Ranch apartments in the 10500 block of North MacArthur Boulevard.

The victim told officers her children’s father, identified as 22-year-old Scottland Torrion Johnson, had been at the residence causing a disturbance and making threats before leaving the scene in a vehicle.

According to the report, Johnson and the victim were previously in a relationship for about four years and share two children.

The victim said Johnson had returned one of their children and then told her he would drive her to work. When she refused, Johnson allegedly took her iPhone 13 and told her he would return it if she got into the car. She declined and went back inside her apartment.

Police said Johnson then began banging on the door and yelling threats, including statements about kicking down the door and fighting those inside. The victim told officers she feared imminent bodily injury, citing prior domestic violence incidents. A relative inside the apartment also witnessed the incident.

Officers later located Johnson back at the apartment complex and found him in possession of the victim’s phone.

Johnson was taken into custody and charged with assault by threat involving family violence and theft from a person. The victim requested an emergency protective order.
