TARRANT COUNTY, Texas — Two coordinated operations in March aimed at combating human trafficking led to multiple arrests and the identification of potential victims, according to the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office.
The Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation Unit, working alongside the Tarrant County Human Trafficking Task Force, conducted a two-day demand reduction operation that resulted in 15 felony arrests of individuals accused of attempting to purchase commercial sex.
In a separate outreach operation, authorities identified 20 potential victims of human trafficking. Officials said all but one accepted services offered by partner organization Unbound Now.
Investigators have since opened five potential human trafficking cases stemming from the outreach effort, all of which remain under active investigation.
The sheriff’s office credited the success of the operations to collaboration among local, state, and federal agencies focused on addressing human trafficking and supporting survivors.
Officials said they remain committed to holding offenders accountable while ensuring victims receive protection and support.
The investigation remains ongoing.
