NTTA Proposes Extension of 360 Tollway Through Ellis and Johnson Counties

ELLIS & JOHNSON COUNTIES, Texas — The North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) is proposing an extension of the 360 Tollway (360T) that would stretch south from U.S. 287 to U.S. 67, adding a new corridor through parts of Ellis and Johnson counties.

The proposed project would span approximately eight miles on a new alignment near or within the cities of Grand Prairie, Mansfield, Midlothian, and Venus. Plans call for two main travel lanes in each direction, along with parallel frontage roads.

NTTA officials say the extension is intended to address regional growth and improve mobility in the area.

A public meeting is scheduled to gather community input:

  • Thursday, April 16, 2026
  • 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • Mansfield High School Cafeteria, 3001 E. Broad Street, Mansfield

The meeting will be held in an open house format, allowing attendees to review project materials, ask questions, and submit comments. Information presented will include the project’s purpose, anticipated timeline, and potential route alignments.

Project materials will also be made available online starting at 5:30 p.m. on April 16.

Residents who need translation services or accommodations are asked to contact NTTA Project Communications Manager Brian SanFilippo at (469) 608-6880 by 4 p.m. on April 11.

Public comments can be submitted by mail to NTTA, C/O 360 Tollway Extension, PO Box 260928, Plano, TX 75026, or by email to chancock@ntta.org. All comments must be received by May 1, 2026.

The project remains in the planning phase, and NTTA officials encourage residents to participate in the process.
