Danna Paola Lira

IRVING, TX - An Irving woman was arrested Saturday evening after police responded to reports of an intoxicated person causing a disturbance.

Irving Police officers arrived at the scene and identified the suspect as 22-year-old Danna Paola Lira of Irving. According to police, Lira had been involved in an argument with a family member that escalated into a physical assault.

Lira was taken into custody and booked into the Irving Jail at 8:28 p.m. She is charged with public intoxication with three prior convictions and two counts of assault causing bodily injury involving family violence.

Officers also discovered Lira had two outstanding misdemeanor warrants issued by the Dallas Police Department.

During the booking process, authorities determined Lira was in violation of her parole. Court records show that in December 2024, she was convicted of drug dealing. As part of a plea agreement, she was sentenced to three years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, receiving 642 days of jail credit for time previously served in the Dallas County Jail. She had recently been released from prison on parole.
