A Dallas Police Department lieutenant has been arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated and placed on administrative leave pending an internal review.
According to officials, on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, Lieutenant Jeremy Carter (badge #9550) was arrested by the Midlothian Police Department for DWI. Carter has been employed with the Dallas Police Department since August 2008 and is currently assigned to the Operational Technology Unit.
Following the arrest, Carter was placed on administrative leave, which is standard procedure, while the department conducts an internal investigation into the incident.
