Multiple Children Seriously Injured in Major Accident near Glen Rose

In a harrowing incident earlier this afternoon, emergency responders from various agencies rushed to the scene of a major accident on Highway 67 near County Road 308, between Glen Rose and Cleburne. The incident, which occurred around 2:30 pm, resulted in multiple children sustaining serious injuries.

The Somervell County Fire Department, Cleburne FD, Somervell County Sheriff's Office, Johnson County Sheriff's Office, and the Department of Public Safety (DPS) swiftly responded to the distress call. Upon arrival, they discovered the injured children and immediately initiated life-saving measures.

According to initial reports, at least two of the children suffered life-threatening injuries, necessitating urgent medical attention. They were promptly transported to Texas Health Cleburne hospital for stabilization and air transport. CareFlite and Teddy Bear helicopters were deployed and swiftly airlifted the patients from THR Cleburne to Fort Worth, ensuring they received the critical care they needed.

The third injured child was transported to a Fort Worth hospital via a ground ambulance. The Johnson County Sheriff's Office provided the latest update, confirming that all three children are still alive and currently undergoing treatment at the Fort Worth hospital. Their conditions remain serious, and medical professionals are doing everything possible to ensure their recovery.

As of now, the investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing. The DPS is leading the inquiry and is expected to release a statement regarding the incident and provide further details.
