A Dallas County jury convicted 61-year-old John Michael Ramirez, aka Johnny Ramirez, of continuously sexually abusing a child under 14. The verdict was returned on November 5, 2025, in the 363rd Judicial District Court before Judge Tracy Holmes. The jury later assessed his punishment at 50 years in prison.
The offense occurred around September 1, 2017, and the case formally began on January 6, 2022. Under Texas law, continuous sexual abuse of a young child applies when a defendant commits two or more acts of sexual abuse over a period of at least 30 days.
The case was prosecuted by Lead Prosecutor Delayna Griffin and Second Chair Shanna Gosey. DA Investigator Crystal Gregan and DA Victim Advocate Flor De La Fuente supported the investigation and trial. The Dallas Police Department served as the investigating agency.
