An undercover investigation in Irving resulted in the arrest of 32-year-old Selena Gonzales after police say she attempted to arrange a paid sexual encounter with an officer.
On Tuesday, November 4, around 2 p.m., an Irving Police undercover officer coordinated a meeting with Gonzales at the DoubleTree Hotel on West John Carpenter Freeway. According to investigators, the two had been texting, and Gonzales agreed to an hour-long sexual encounter for 400 dollars.
Before the meeting, at 5:22 p.m., Gonzales requested a video call to confirm that the undercover officer was a real person. When the call connected, she recognized him as the same officer who had arrested her during a similar prostitution case in February 2025 and immediately ended the call.
Investigators had been conducting surveillance on Gonzales throughout the day. They followed her to the Studio 6 DFW Airport Hotel on West John Carpenter Freeway, where she went to a room shortly before taking the video call. Officers said they were familiar with her operations and had monitored her online prostitution advertisements, which outlined services, expectations, and included customer reviews.
Based on the evidence gathered, investigators secured an arrest warrant signed by Judge Michael Huebner. Gonzales was taken into custody and charged with prostitution.
