DENTON, Texas—A two-vehicle crash in Denton early Friday morning left one woman dead and another driver hospitalized.
The Denton Fire and Police Departments responded to the collision around 7:34 a.m. on October 3 along Sherman Drive near Elm Bottom Circle.
Upon arrival, emergency crews found both drivers injured. One driver, a 68-year-old woman who has since been identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner, had to be extricated from her vehicle and was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.
The second driver was also transported to a local hospital; their condition is currently unknown.
Lanes of Sherman Drive were closed for several hours while Denton PD investigated the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
