DALLAS, Texas—A long-serving Dallas police officer has been arrested on a third-degree felony charge of Theft of Property.
Senior Corporal Shawn Freeman, 7342, turned himself into the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department on October 1, 2025, for a warrant issued by the Dallas Police Department. The charge is Theft of Property valued between $2,500 and $30,000, which is enhanced to a third-degree felony.
S. Cpl. Freeman has been a member of the Dallas Police Department since December 1995 and is currently assigned to the North Central Patrol Division. He has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation.
