A Tarrant County jury has convicted 29-year-old Damien Lee Escalera of Fort Worth of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. He was sentenced last week to 50 years in prison.
The case stems from a May 17, 2023, incident in which Escalera sexually assaulted a young girl at his Arlington apartment in the 700 block of Buckskin Trail. He was arrested in March 2024 by Arlington Police.
Escalera previously lived in Los Angeles before moving to North Texas. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Sydney Brock and Olivia Stoner, with support from DA Investigator Tiffany Johnson and Victim Coordinator Angela Stevens.
