AZLE, TX — On Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at about 12:19 p.m., Azle Police officers responded to a major accident involving five vehicles in the 13000 block of FM 730 South.
Investigators say a northbound vehicle veered into oncoming traffic, striking two vehicles head-on. Two more vehicles became involved as a result of the initial crash.
Despite life-saving efforts by first responders, the driver of a southbound vehicle and a passenger in a northbound vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. Two other people were taken to area hospitals with serious injuries, and a third was transported for evaluation.
Both northbound and southbound lanes of FM 730 between Creekwood Ranch Road and Main Street were shut down for several hours while crews worked the scene.
The Parker County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the names of the deceased. The Tarrant County Traffic Investigation Unit is assisting Azle Police with the ongoing investigation.
