Irving, TX — A high-speed pursuit through Irving on Tuesday afternoon ended with the arrest of a 22-year-old man wanted on multiple felony warrants.
Police say officers attempted a traffic stop on September 16, 2025, when the driver refused to pull over and sped away. Officers pursued the vehicle and executed several maneuvers that eventually forced it to a stop. The driver, identified as Kyran Damon Owens, then fled on foot. After a brief chase, officers caught up with Owens and wrestled him to the ground before taking him into custody.
A search of the vehicle uncovered a significant quantity of marijuana. Owens was booked into the Irving Jail at 5:33 p.m. He now faces charges of evading arrest on foot, evading arrest with a vehicle, evading with a previous conviction, and felony possession of marijuana between four ounces and five pounds.
Authorities also confirmed Owens was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service for a parole violation stemming from a fraud conviction. Additional warrants were active in Dallas County for a parole violation in a stolen vehicle case, in Tarrant County for another stolen vehicle case, and in Collin County for burglary of a vehicle.
Court records show Owens was convicted in 2023 and placed on five years’ probation for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, fraud involving stolen IDs, and escape from custody. A probation violation warrant out of Dallas County was issued after a subsequent arrest in 2024.
Owens remains in custody as of Wednesday, with multiple agencies holding detainers against him.
