On Saturday, July 19, 2025, at approximately 3:07 p.m., Fort Worth Police and Fire/EMS responded to a major accident in the 5500 block of E. Lancaster Avenue.
Officers arrived to find that a vehicle had struck three individuals standing near a bus stop before crashing into the front of a nearby convenience store. One of the individuals was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other two suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
According to investigators, two vehicles were traveling westbound on Lancaster Avenue at a high rate of speed when one of the drivers lost control, causing the crash. Both drivers are currently in police custody, and charges are expected to be filed.
The incident remains under investigation.
