Life Sentence Handed Down to Dallas Man for Sexually Abusing Daughter

A Dallas jury has found 36-year-old Jorge Perez Torres guilty of continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14, sentencing him to life in prison without the possibility of parole. The verdict, delivered on June 20, 2025, concludes a case stemming from allegations of abuse dating back to March 2019, involving his minor daughter.

The prosecution, led by Assistant District Attorney Megan Bisacca, presented evidence that led to the jury's swift decision. The investigation was spearheaded by the Dallas Police Department, with crucial support from District Attorney Investigator Crystal Gregan and Victim Advocate Flor De La Fuente, who provided essential assistance to the victim.

Torres, who graduated from Richardson High School in 2007, was employed as a manager at Beto & Son Mexican restaurant on Gulden Lane in Dallas at the time of his arrest. The severity of the crime and the victim's age contributed to the maximum sentence handed down by the court.

The life sentence without parole ensures Torres will remain incarcerated for the remainder of his life, a measure reflecting the grave nature of the continuous abuse.
