LAKE WORTH, TX – Two individuals were arrested early Wednesday morning, July 9th, in Lake Worth's Indian Oaks neighborhood, thanks to an alert citizen who reported suspicious activity. Noah Asselin, 19, of Fort Worth, and Brady Craft, 17, of Watauga, were both charged with two counts of burglary of a motor vehicle.
At approximately 3:00 AM, a citizen observed two individuals in dark clothing looking into vehicles and promptly called 9-1-1. Lake Worth officers arrived within minutes and located two suspects matching the description. One suspect was immediately detained, while the other fled on foot but was quickly located and arrested after a brief search.
"Like so many other incidents in our community, these immediate arrests would likely not have been made if it weren’t for the alert citizen’s call,” said Chief J.T. Manoushagian. “We are so thankful for the partnership we have with our community because they, like us, have zero tolerance for this childish criminal behavior.”
So far, officers have confirmed at least two vehicles were burglarized, but they believe there could be more. Residents in the area are urged to check their property for missing items and review security camera footage for any relevant activity. Anyone with information about this or other potential crimes involving the suspects is asked to contact Lake Worth detectives at LWCID@lakeworthtx.org.
