In a Tarrant County courtroom, 36-year-old Sherrod Goodspeed pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
Goodspeed faced multiple charges stemming from a series of incidents in 2023 where he pointed a gun at his girlfriend and fired several times. One of the incidents occurred on October 27, 2023, when Goodspeed argued with the woman outside a hotel and shot at her vehicle as she drove away.
The Fort Worth Police Department investigated the case.
