Irving Police officers have dismantled a suspected human trafficking and prostitution operation at a local motel, leading to the arrest of three individuals, including the alleged ringleader. The investigation began on June 2, 2025, after a victim called 911 from the Days Inn motel at 2200 E. Airport Freeway (Loop 12 and SH-183), reporting she was being forced into prostitution.
The victim told investigators that Raymond Allen, also known as "Edge," along with Cheyanne Mather and Kimberly Simerson, had picked her up in Saginaw, Michigan, under the false premise of a vacation. Instead, they traveled to Houston, where the group allegedly posted online escort advertisements and coerced her into performing sex acts. The victim stated she did not want to engage in this work.
When no money was made in Houston, Allen reportedly brought the group to Dallas. The victim stated that Allen was in possession of her identification and Social Security card, and he, along with one of the women, threatened to abandon her in Texas if she did not "work." She also claimed she was taken to "the blade," a known prostitution hotspot in Dallas, to work. The victim reported being denied communication with her family and friends.
A patrol officer, responding to the initial 911 call, located Raymond Allen during a traffic stop for a license plate violation. During the stop, Allen was found to be in possession of the IDs, bank cards, and Social Security cards belonging to all the women involved, a tactic investigators noted is commonly used by traffickers to control victims.
Further investigation revealed online escort advertisements for all three women, confirming the victim's accusations. Ads for Mather and Simerson contained images taken inside the group's hotel room at the Days Inn in Irving. Investigators also observed "Edge" tattoos on the necks of Mather and Simerson, which police noted is common among traffickers as a form of "branding."
Raymond Carl Allen Jr., 38, of Saginaw, Michigan, was arrested and charged with Trafficking of Persons, as he allegedly used fraud and coercion to compel the victim into sex work. He was also charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, as he and three other individuals were allegedly involved in the prostitution operation.
Also arrested were Cheyanne Mather, 20, and Kimberly Simerson, 19, both from Saginaw, Michigan. Mather was separately charged with drug offenses after officers located a THC vape, THC gummies, and a bag of marijuana (0.5 grams) in a purse where she was sitting during the traffic stop.
The investigation is ongoing.
