On the evening of Monday, June 9, 2025, emergency responders were dispatched to a major accident involving two pedestrians in the area of Masch Branch Road.
Krum firefighters, already in the vicinity due to an earlier call, arrived quickly and found that a vehicle had struck two individuals. The crew of Engine 582 immediately began rendering critical aid to both patients at the scene.
Due to the severity of the injuries and the unavailability of Medic 583, which was already transporting a patient from the earlier incident, additional ambulance units were requested. Two medical helicopters—PHI Med 10 from Denton and CareFlite—were also dispatched to provide rapid transport for the injured pedestrians.
The Krum Fire Department expressed appreciation for mutual aid assistance provided by the City of Denton Fire Department and City of Sanger Fire Department.
The condition of the two patients and the cause of the incident have not yet been released.
