A 72-year-old woman was arrested Saturday morning, June 7, 2025, after Irving Police received multiple complaints about a woman walking on the roadway and approaching vehicles to ask for money.
Officers located the woman and took her into custody without incident. She was identified as Deborah Lawrence Sessom, who resides in a mobile home in the 3400 block of W. Shady Grove Road.
Sessom was booked into the Irving Jail at 9:36 a.m. and charged with Solicitation-Prohibited, Solicitation of Occupants of Vehicles, and 10 counts of Walking on Roadway. Police stated the arrest was made for the safety of both Sessom and passing motorists.
Her total bond was set at $4,093.
