On Sunday, May 11, 2025, an Irving Police Department Honor Guard member, Stephen W. Burres, III, had the distinguished honor of participating in a Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery (Virginia).
Joining fellow Honor Guard members from the Fort Worth Police Department and the U.S. Army Old Guard Sentinels, the Irving officer took part in this solemn and time-honored tradition. The ceremony served as a powerful tribute to the bravery and ultimate sacrifice of America’s fallen heroes whose remains are interred at this sacred site.
