Emergency responders in Johnson County were alerted to a fatal crash on Green Ridge Lane near Lillian early Wednesday morning through an emergency call made from an iPhone. Upon arrival at the scene, a sheriff's deputy discovered an unresponsive male, who was pronounced dead by paramedics.
Preliminary investigations conducted by the Department of Public Safety (DPS) suggest that the vehicle involved was traveling northbound on Green Ridge Lane and failed to negotiate a curve at an excessive speed, resulting in it leaving the roadway.
