On Tuesday night, April 29th, an Irving Police officer initiated a traffic stop on a driver for a traffic violation. Instead of stopping, the driver accelerated, leading to a pursuit involving multiple police units.
The driver eventually stopped his vehicle and fled on foot, with several officers giving chase. He was apprehended a short time later.
During the arrest, officers found under two ounces of marijuana in his possession. A records check also revealed an outstanding warrant issued by Azle Police for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
The suspect was identified as 23-year-old Marcus Emmanuel Reyes and was booked into the Irving Jail.
