Dallas College Earns National Recognition for Exceptional Online Student Support

Dallas College has been awarded the prestigious Online Learning Consortium (OLC) Exemplary Status, placing it among the top 10% of colleges and universities nationwide for its outstanding online learning practices and student support services.

Andrea Butler, Vice Provost of E-Learning at Dallas College, expressed pride in the recognition, stating, "We are incredibly proud to receive the OLC Exemplary Status, which highlights our commitment to delivering an outstanding online learning experience for our students. This recognition reflects the hard work and dedication of our faculty and staff, who are focused on ensuring that all students, no matter where they are, have the resources and support they need to succeed. This distinction is not only an honor but a testament to our ongoing efforts to continuously improve and enhance our online programs.”

Dallas College is one of only ten community colleges to achieve this distinction, earning an impressive score of 81 out of 88 points on the OLC Scorecard. This score demonstrates the college's high standards for online student support in areas such as admissions, career counseling, financial aid, library access, student orientation, and support services for students with disabilities and veterans.

Dallas College has affirmed its commitment to using this recognition as a benchmark for future service to both current and prospective students. The college plans to collaborate closely with OLC to identify new avenues for enhancing its online student experience.
