Man Arrested in Irving for Shots Fired, Aggravated Assault, and Drug Dealing

On Monday afternoon, April 28th, Irving Police officers responded to a shots fired call that led to the arrest of 33-year-old Demarcus Brooks, a Dallas resident with a previous address in Irving.

The investigation determined that Brooks was the individual who discharged the firearm and had threatened another person with it. Further investigation revealed that Brooks was also involved in drug dealing. He was taken into custody and booked into the Irving Jail at 4:48 PM.

Brooks faces charges in Irving for Discharge of a Firearm, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penal Group 1B, which includes methamphetamine or fentanyl. Authorities also discovered that Brooks had outstanding warrants in Lancaster for traffic violations and a felony drug charge in Dallas.
