Alert Irving Police officers on Tuesday, April 15th, located a stolen vehicle within city limits and stopped the driver, who attempted to conceal his identity using fraudulent identification. A search of the vehicle yielded narcotics and a weapon.
The driver was eventually identified as 30-year-old John Hill, who was discovered to have outstanding warrants in both Collin County and Dallas County for serious offenses. The Collin County Sheriff's Office had warrants for Hill related to drug possession and evading arrest with a previous conviction, with a total bond of $35,000 imposed. Additionally, the Dallas County Sheriff's Office had requested a warrant for Hill for a Parole Violation stemming from an Aggravated Assault conviction, with a $100,000 bond set for that warrant.
The Irving Police Department has filed additional charges against Hill, including Fraudulent Use/Possession of Fake Identification, Fail to ID as a Fugitive, Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, and Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1/1-B (Methamphetamine or Fentanyl) over 4 grams.
