In the early hours of Monday, a gruesome stabbing incident unfolded in Austin, Texas, as authorities responded to a distressing scene at a homeless camp on West Rundberg Lane. Joshua Daniel, the prime suspect, was detained after officers discovered a lifeless body with multiple stab wounds nearby.
Around 3:19 a.m., the Austin Police Department (APD) received reports of a stabbing incident in the 1000 block of West Rundberg Lane. Promptly responding to the distress call, officers swiftly arrived at the scene, guided by witnesses to a nearby homeless camp. There, they located and apprehended Joshua Daniel, who is believed to be responsible for the heinous crime.
Tragically, officers also discovered the lifeless body of a man just a few feet away from Daniel. The victim had sustained numerous stab wounds, indicating a brutal attack. Investigators suspect that Daniel not only repeatedly stabbed the victim but also attempted to dispose of the body through dismemberment and burning.
Joshua Daniel, now in custody, has been charged with First Degree Murder. He is being held at the Travis County jail, awaiting his court appearance. The severity of the charges reflects the gravity of the alleged crime committed.
