City of Irving Offers Summer Aquatics at Various Locations

As the summer season kicks off, the City of Irving is providing residents with a range of aquatics options to beat the heat and enjoy the water. With a regular summer schedule running through Labor Day, and limited hours in August coinciding with the start of the school year, the city aims to cater to the needs of all water enthusiasts.

Residents of Irving will have access to several aquatic centers, outdoor/indoor pools, and spray parks spread across the city. These facilities offer a variety of amenities and activities for individuals and families to cool off and have fun during the summer months.

The Cimarron Family Aquatic Center, located at 199 Red River Trail, will be open from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, and from 1 to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Similarly, the West Irving Aquatic Center, situated at 3701 Conflans Road, will welcome visitors from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, and from 1 to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

For those seeking indoor swimming options, the Heritage Senior Center Pool at 200 S. Jefferson Street and the North Lake Natatorium at 5001 N. MacArthur Blvd. will be open from 7 a.m. to noon and 5 to 9 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. However, these facilities will remain closed on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Additionally, the Senter Park Swimming Pool, an outdoor pool located at 901 Senter Road, will be available from 2 to 8 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.

To add to the aquatic experience, the city offers two spray parks. The Northwest Spray Park, situated at 2800 Cheyenne St., and the Southwest Spray Park, located at 2800 Shady Grove Road, will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. These spray parks provide a refreshing alternative for those looking to enjoy water play without the need for swimming.

The City of Irving encourages residents to take advantage of these summer aquatics facilities while adhering to any health and safety guidelines in place. Whether it's swimming, diving, water games, or simply relaxing by the water, the city aims to provide a range of options for a memorable summer.
