On Friday, February 7, at around 6:00 p.m., Southlake Fire, EMS, and Police responded to a major accident involving multiple vehicles at the intersection of 2200 W. Southlake Boulevard and Randol Mill Avenue, in front of Dunkin' Donuts.
Emergency crews arrived to find four vehicles with major damage. According to eyewitness reports, a driver traveling northbound on Randol Mill ran a red light, striking a pickup truck. The impact caused the truck to go airborne and overturn. Two other vehicles were unable to stop in time and were also involved in the crash.
Eastbound and westbound lanes of West Southlake Boulevard were closed for an hour as crews worked to extricate those involved. Several people sustained injuries and were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
