A man was fatally shot during an altercation in Fort Worth’s South Division on Monday, and police are searching for the suspect.
Officers responded to a shooting call in the 700 block of W. Anthony St. on February 3, 2025. Upon arrival, they found the victim on the ground with a gunshot wound to the torso. He was transported to a nearby hospital but did not survive his injuries.
Detectives determined that the victim and several individuals were involved in a physical altercation when an unidentified suspect pulled out a handgun and fired at least one shot, striking the victim. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.
Homicide detectives are actively investigating the case.
