Drug Dealer Arrested in South Irving, Faces Multiple Charges

Freeshard Evans

A Mansfield man was arrested on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, after a routine traffic stop led to the discovery of illegal narcotics and evidence of drug dealing. At approximately 2:57 PM, an Irving Police officer stopped 40-year-old Freeshard Leemon Evans at the corner of S. Beltline Road and W. Shady Grove Rd. in south Irving.

A search of Evans' vehicle uncovered illegal narcotics, as well as evidence indicating he was involved in drug distribution. Evans also had a felony warrant out of Tarrant County. He was arrested and charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1/1-B (between 4 grams and 200 grams), Possession of Marijuana (between 4 oz and 5 lbs), and Possession of a Controlled Substance PG2 (between 4 grams and 400 grams).

Evans was booked into the Irving Jail before being transferred to the Dallas County Jail, where he remains. His bond was set at $120,500, but the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office has placed a hold with no bond for additional charges related to drug offenses and evading Fort Worth police officers in December 2023. Evans has a history of drug-related arrests in Colleyville, Forest Hill, Fort Worth, and Dallas.  He previously resided in Irving.
