During overnight hours, TxDOT work on the Irving Interchange project June 16-25 and will affect Irving motorists using Loop 12 and State Highways (SH) 183 and 114, as well as frontage roads and surrounding streets.
PERMANENT CLOSURE
- The cloverleaf to southbound Loop 12 is closed through the end of the Irving Interchange Project in 2024. View the Detour Map.
FRIDAY, JUNE 16 FROM 8 P.M. TO 5 A.M.
- The westbound SH 183 Carl Road exit will be closed.
- The southbound Loop 12 direct connector to westbound SH 183 will be closed.
- The eastbound SH 183 frontage road will be closed from Tucasa Drive to Loop 12.
- The southbound Loop 12 frontage road will be closed from Grauwyler Road to Union Bower.
MONDAY, JUNE 19 FROM 8 P.M. TO 5 A.M.
- The westbound SH 183 Carl Road exit will be closed.
- The southbound Spur 482 direct connector to westbound SH 183 will be closed.
- The southbound Loop 12 direct connector to westbound SH 183 will be closed.
TUESDAY, JUNE 20 FROM 8 P.M. TO 5 A.M.
- The westbound SH 183 Carl Road exit will be closed.
- The southbound Spur 482 direct connector to westbound SH 183 will be closed.

- 10 p.m. to Saturday, June 24 10 p.m.: Loop 12 main lanes will be closed. Northbound Loop 12 from SH 183 to SH 114, and southbound Loop 12 from SH 114 to Union Bower.
- Northbound Spur 482 frontage road will be closed from Maryland Drive to the westbound SH 114 frontage road.
SATURDAY, JUNE 24, 10 P.M. TO SUNDAY, JUNE 25, 10 P.M.
- Loop 12 main lanes will be closed. Northbound Loop 12 from SH 183 to SH 114, and southbound Loop 12 from SH 114 to Union Bower.
SUNDAY, JUNE 25, 10 P.M. TO MONDAY, JUNE 26, 5 A.M.
- Loop 12 main lanes will be closed. Northbound Loop 12 from SH 183 to SH 114, and southbound Loop 12 from SH 114 to Union Bower.
Detours will be marked with signage. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes when possible and to slow down through construction zones.
