UPDATE: Authorities have announced that Leanna was found nearly 800 miles away in Kansas City, Missouri, at an apartment complex. Kansas City police and the FBI jointly rescued the teen.

In a desperate search effort, a Houston Regional Amber Alert was issued on Wednesday for 13-year-old Leanna Willis, who is believed to be connected to an online solicitation case, according to local authorities. Leanna was last seen at her residence on June 9, at approximately 4 p.m., located in the 6500 block of Bell Street in Hitchcock, Galveston County, Texas.

Leanna Willis is described as a five feet, six inches tall teenager weighing approximately 160 pounds. She has distinctive black hair styled with pink and blue braids. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing an oversized gray hoodie, black shorts, and slippers.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing Leanna entering a silver, four-door Toyota Camry in the company of an unidentified man. Preliminary reports suggest that the man appeared to be between 40 to 50 years old. Law enforcement officials are urgently seeking any information that could lead to the identification of the man accompanying Leanna.

Hitchcock police have revealed that Leanna Willis has a concerning history of engaging in conversations with adult men on various online platforms. It is strongly suspected that her disappearance may be directly linked to online solicitation. It is worth noting that this is not the first time she has gone missing, as she has previously run away.

Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Leanna Willis or the unidentified man to contact the Hitchcock Police Department immediately at 409-986-5559. Prompt action and cooperation from the community are essential in ensuring Leanna's safe return home.
