On Thursday morning, January 23, 2025, an Irving Police officer stopped a speeding driver clocked at 86 MPH in a 70 MPH zone. During the traffic stop, the driver presented a stolen driver’s license, prompting further investigation.
The driver was later identified as 28-year-old Rashad Anthony Reed of Dallas. Officers discovered Reed had two active warrants related to traffic violations issued by the DeSoto and Grand Prairie Police Departments. Additionally, Reed was found with other false documents.
Reed was taken into custody and booked into the Irving Jail at 12:38 PM. He faces multiple charges, including two misdemeanors for Failing to Identify as a Fugitive and Possessing a False Driver’s License/ID. He also faces three third-degree felonies: Forgery Financial Instrument, False Statement to Obtain Property, and Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information.
