On January 8, 2025, Addison Police and Fire responded to a major accident at 5000 Belt Line Road involving multiple vehicles.
The crash occurred when the at-fault vehicle crossed three lanes of traffic and collided with a heavy-duty pickup truck, pushing both vehicles into a third vehicle parked nearby. Among those injured was an eight-month-pregnant woman who lost consciousness during the collision.
The occupants of the at-fault vehicle fled the scene on foot before authorities arrived.
A citizen involved in the accident commended Addison Police and Fire personnel for their professional response. Recognized officers included Officers Tingue, Kurnik, Davis, Nez, and Goldstein, as well as the Addison Fire Department’s C-shift team.
The incident remains under investigation.
