Suspect Shot After Break-In and Pursuit in Johnson County

Over the weekend, Johnson County deputies responded to reports of a break-in at a home on FM 1807 near Alvarado. According to the initial 911 call, a male suspect broke into the residence and chased the caller and a roommate out of the house and down the street. A third roommate later picked them up further down the road.

Shortly afterward, deputies received a second call from a neighbor reporting that the same suspect was on their porch attempting to break into their home. As deputies were en route, the second caller informed dispatch that they had fired two shots at the suspect.

Upon arrival, deputies secured the suspect and applied chest seals to treat three gunshot wounds. The investigation is ongoing, and no further details about the suspect's condition or identity have been released at this time.
