On Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at approximately 7:11 a.m., Killeen Police Department officers responded to a report of a disturbance inside a vehicle on the 700 block of Stagecoach Road. Upon investigation, it was determined that the driver, an off-duty Killeen Police Officer and 8-year department veteran, was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
The officer was subsequently arrested and taken to the Killeen City Jail, where Justice of the Peace Cliff Coleman set bond at $3,000. An internal investigation has been launched by the Killeen Police Department, and the officer has been placed on administrative leave with pay pending the outcome of the inquiry.
