Early Sunday morning, October 27, 2024, Fort Worth emergency responders were dispatched to a fatal crash on the 3000 block of Northwest Loop 820, westbound near Marine Creek Parkway. At approximately 3:35 a.m., Fort Worth Fire Department, Police Department, and Medstar EMS arrived on the scene of a severe two-vehicle accident.
Preliminary information indicates that a vehicle traveling the wrong way on Loop 820 collided with another vehicle, resulting in a fire and trapping occupants inside. Tragically, five individuals were pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel. One other person was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
The Fort Worth Police Department’s Traffic Investigations Unit is currently leading the ongoing investigation into the incident. The crash site remains active as authorities work to determine the full details surrounding the deadly collision.
