The City of Irving's annual Disability Awareness poster contest, a tradition for Irving ISD fourth graders, highlights the importance of inclusion through art. Students creatively expressed how people with disabilities use their strengths and abilities to contribute to the community.
At the October 3 city council meeting, Mayor Rick Stopfer honored the young artists, whose winning posters will be displayed at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in recognition of October's Disability Awareness Month.
