CHRISTUS Health announces the appointment of two leaders to system’s CEO Cabinet

Gabriela Saenz and Kimberly King Webb

CHRISTUS Health, an international not-for-profit Catholic health system, announced the elevation of two of its leaders, Gabriela Saenz and Kimberly King Webb, to the organization’s CEO Cabinet.

Saenz currently serves as senior vice president of corporate services, overseeing corporate compliance, communications, advocacy and public policy, foundations and philanthropy services, retail, congregational sponsor relations and governance services. A licensed attorney, she began her CHRISTUS career 20 years ago in advocacy and public policy, developing system-wide policy positions and representing the organization at the state and national levels before Congress and state legislatures.

Since 2019, in her role as senior vice president, Saenz has served as an invaluable resource, adviser and leader as CHRISTUS witnessed significant transformation in governance and shared services during an era of rapid growth.

“I am deeply honored,” Saenz said. “Throughout my career at CHRISTUS, it has been a humbling responsibility to uphold the mission of our founders and sponsoring congregations by extending the healing ministry of Jesus Christ in all that we do. I am thrilled to continue being part of our expanding ministry so that we can touch even more lives.”

Webb serves as senior vice president and chief human resources officer. In her role since 2019, she has guided CHRISTUS’ people foundation strategy, achieving remarkable success in Associate engagement initiatives, and coordinating the human resources needs of CHRISTUS. She first started at CHRISTUS in 2013 in the legal department, focusing on labor and employment law and commercial litigation and advanced to deputy general counsel.

Over her tenure, her focus has been on strengthening the CHRISTUS culture by engaging the whole person, empowering total well-being and enabling meaningful work that advances the CHRISTUS mission.

“I am grateful for the opportunity,” Webb said. “At CHRISTUS, we truly live our mission and values. I am excited to continue to cultivate our exceptional culture. As we grow and expand our reach, we remain fiercely committed to supporting our dedicated Associates who are the heart of our compassionate care.”

CHRISTUS continues to experience tremendous growth and adapt to its rapidly evolving industry.

“These promotions are part of CHRISTUS’ broader strategy to ensure the right leadership to navigate the opportunities and challenges ahead,” said Ernie Sadau, CHRISTUS Health president and chief executive officer. “Gabriela and Kimberly’s backgrounds and expertise position them to make significant contributions to advancing our CHRISTUS mission and vision.”
