On Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 12:47 pm, Irving Police Officers executed a warrant arrest on 27-year-old Jedariun Tydell Harris at the 700 block of N. Britain Rd in Irving. Harris had been wanted for a parole violation related to two charges: assaulting a pregnant person and burglary of habitation. His total bond was set at $200,000, and he will be transferred to the Dallas County Jail.
On January 23, 2023, Harris assaulted his pregnant girlfriend. According to court records, he struck her with his hand and a bag, then dragged her on the ground. In a plea deal dated February 2, 2024, Harris pleaded guilty and was sentenced to three years of probation. His parole was later revoked following an incident on July 7, 2024, where he was charged with two counts of assault family violence. As part of his probation, Harris was required to refrain from contacting the victim for the duration of his supervision term, a condition he violated.
The 204th Judicial District Court of Dallas County issued a warrant for Harris's arrest following his violation of probation. The warrant for burglary of habitation pertains to a September 2022 case in which Harris was convicted of entering a home in Irving without permission with the intent to assault a woman. Harris was also given probation for that crime, but with the new charges, that probation was revoked as well.
