At 12:49 a.m. on July 5, 2024, Flower Mound Police officers responded to a call reporting a shooting in the 1800 block of Flower Mound Road. Upon arrival, officers located a gunshot victim lying outside a stationary vehicle in the westbound lanes of traffic. The 28-year-old female victim, of Double Oak, was transported by the Flower Mound Fire Department to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Grapevine with life-threatening injuries.
The suspect, Ladarius M. Brownlee, 28, of Northlake, was still on the scene when officers arrived. He has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He is in custody, and additional charges are pending.
