On Friday, June 21st, at approximately 11:20 PM, Dallas Police and Fire Rescue responded to a crash at the intersection of Simpson Stuart and Bonnie View Road in southeast Dallas.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a driver was attempting to turn west onto Simpson Stuart from Bonnie View when their vehicle was struck by an eastbound driver. The eastbound driver, identified as 28-year-old Jacob Arredondo, had run a red light.
The driver of the first vehicle was taken to a local hospital where they were pronounced deceased.
Jacob Arredondo was arrested for Intoxication Manslaughter.
